Our fine filtration garnet is a high-density water filtration media typically used as a layer beneath 16/30 (0.5-1.0mm) silica sand in multi-media filters to remove fine particles which may not be retained by the sand. A natural almandine garnet, chemically inert and known for its hardness and durability. Our fine filtration garnet is produced to a 0.3-0.6mm particle size however other sizes are available for both filtration and support applications.
